As Summer 2014 creeps closer, I get increasingly anxious. Why is that?
Because that is when Outlander, the new Starz TV show based on the bestselling series, is set to premiere! Today, in honor of Claire Beachamp’s May 2nd disappearance, Starz came up with a nice little marketing game. They asked fans to tweet and Facebook the hashtag #WhereIsClaire so many times to unlock a new trailer.
Appropriately, the theme of this new trailer is Claire’s disappearance and her eventual struggle to reconcile her place in two different worlds, the past and future. Watch the new trailer below and prepare for some swoonworthy moments, courtesy of Sam Heughan’s portrayal of Jamie Fraser.
For those new to Outlander, they should have a better understanding of the show’s plot with this trailer. Of course, as a fan,it leaves me wanting more. This is only the beginning of this incredible journey for these characters; I can’t wait to see where Starz takes it with the first and hopefully subsequent seasons.
I was hoping with today’s new trailer we’d finally get a premiere date for the show. Sadly, Summer 2014 is all we know for now. But at least we have a new trailer and three new images to help with the wait!
