There are regrets, and then there are regrets. I’m feeling the latter as I watch my Twitter feed explode with reactions to Marvel’s Jessica Jones pilot, which just debuted for fans at New York Comic Con. Oh man, I really should have made an effort to go to NYCC this year. Here are just a few choice reactions to the pilot episode of Netflix’s new Marvel show:

In addition to the onslaught of praise, Netflix released a new teaser featuring The Purple Man, the villain of the show played by David Tennant. Like the past teasers, it is SO good, and it further proves to me that Netflix and Marvel have totally nailed the right tone for Jessica Jones.

Set in the same world as Daredevil, the story follows a former superhero, Jessica Jones, as she opens a detective agency in Hell’s Kitchen. The series stars Krysten Ritter as the title character and the cast includes David Tennant (Doctor Who), Mike Colter (Netflix’s upcoming Marvel’s Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (666 Park Avenue), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).
