Can Jamie and Claire change the future? One of my favorite turning points in Outlander’s first season was when that became the series’ big question. We’ve already been introduced to the main characters and their world, the main couple has been established, and now it’s time to get really in the thick of things. That’s seeing if they can orchestrate a series of events that could ultimately change the fate of the Scotland.
There’s a lot hanging on Jamie and Claire’s shoulders in season two, on top of them having a baby. As a fan of the books and TV show, I’m very excited to see how it plays out. Stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are more comfortable in their roles, and the array of new characters, locations (Paris!), and twists that will likely happen in season two, are sure to even keep book fans on the edge of their seats. As long as the writing team continue to find that right balance of genres and knowing which parts they should and should not stay faithful to, we’re in for another great season.
