Top 5 Shows To Watch When You Have Feelings

So lately, I have been having a lot of feelings. I guess feelings are okay, and thank god that my house has so many stairs, or perhaps I would be eating them right now instead of blogging about them to you fine, fine readers. Moving forward, I was thinking about the shows I fall into a k-hole with whenever I am having feelings. Whether it’s a new crush, an old crush, or COMPLETE AND TOTAL REJECTION. Which that last one, is usually the feeling I am feeling. So here it goes, the top 5 shows to watch when you are having feelings.

1. Roswell

This show ruined my life for an entire summer last year. Between the f**king Dido song, “Here With Me” as the opening theme song and then all of those huge, broody, emo eyes the two main characters Max Evans (Jason Behr) and Liz Parker (Shiri Appleby) make towards each other it is enough to make you want to catapult yourself out of a window. Not really, but, it is pretty intense and makes you dream about one day finding a love as strong as Max and Liz’s. EXCEPT IT’S NOT REAL. To prove my point, here is that f**king song by Dido.

2. Hart of Dixie

When Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson/Center) ends up taking a GP doctor job in Bluebell, Alabama, no one can predict the crazy loop her life goes through except The CW. I mean seriously, you take super pretty Rachel Bilson, and then put her in a weirdo love quadrangle with super hot George Tucker (R of Rachel Bilson) and Wade Kinsella (L of Rachel Bilson) and LIFE ISN’T F**KING FAIR. That’s why. Oh, here are two really cute suitable men who are both nice and really love you and WHY ISN’T THAT REAL FOR THE REST OF US I HATE YOU THE CW. Just kidding, those are just my feelings showing. Anyway, this show is good for a mental cleanse because somewhere out in the world, or the south, George Tuckers and Wade Kinsella’s DO exist. Somewhere.

3. Flavor of Love

This is a good show to watch if you are having feelings because at least you are none of the contestants on Flavor of Love. No matter what human on this earth decided you were not worth their time, at least that human was not Flavor Flav.  Although Flavor Flav does have a really good rebound rate of a total of 5 seconds to recover from his feelings and always offers sage life advice about moving forward. For example: “I’ll tell you one think you can’t do, you can’t put your shoes on, then your socks on.” Well said, Flav.

4. My Mad Fat Diary

Based off of Rae Earl’s best selling book series, this show is good for when you need to emotionally purge. I’m talking about crying while watching a show, probably screaming, and just FEELING THINGS. Rae’s story of struggling with self image and acceptance as a teen in the 90’s totally pulls at the heartstrings, and what a better way to try to cope with your own sense of self than through the eyes of a teenage girl who GETS TO BANG A REALLY, FLIPPIN’ HOT GUY, FINN NELSON, played by Nico Mirallegro. I mean doesn’t this picture of Finn and Rae just BRING TEARS TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL EYES I MEAN YES, TINY VICTORIES FOR US ALL.

5. Reign

But only like, the first 12 episodes. The storyline sort of got away from the entire Francis(L) Mary(C) Bash(R) bangfest. Well, I take that back, the entire season is good and especially good if you are having feelings because there is tons of heart ache and betrayal and that pretty much sums you up in two words if you are dealing with feelings. Plus it’s like Gossip Girl but with castles. Who doesn’t want to watch that?
