5. Sister, Sister – ABC/The WB (1994-1999)
Twins being adopted and separated at birth, how weren’t we going to get hooked on that plot? Tia and Tamera Mowry grew on us quickly, and it was hard to pick your favorite twin. The show covered all the things one wishes they could do if they had a twin, such as taking each other’s exams. Having Ray and Lisa living together as separate adoptive parents was a different family setting that hadn’t been shown on TV before. The family also included the pesky neighbor, Roger, who apparently wasn’t much desired at his own home. Even though the girls were always yelling “GO HOME ROGER,” they loved him just as much as we did. Roger was played by Marques Houston, who later turned into an R&B artist and also starred in one of the best dance movies, You Got Served.
