10. Boy Meets World- ABC (1993-2000)
I have saved the best for last. You didn’t think I would forget Boy Meets World, right? My obsession with this show has continued on into my young adult years and though I’ve seen many of the episodes countless times—it never gets old! I mean, I tear up watching the final episode just about every time. Chronicling the life events of Cory “Cornelius” Matthews and his best friend Shawn Hunter, BMW has taught us life lessons! Two things we wish we could have: a friendship like Shawn and Cory, a relationship like Cory and Topanga, and a caring professor and mentor like Mr. Feeny. Cory, you had it all! Boy Meets World was unafraid to explore relevant issues that young people go through such as losing your virginity at prom, drinking, relationships, different social classes, domestic violence among many others; each was approached in a tasteful and realistic way. Currently, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) are filming a spin-off for Disney Channel, Girl Meets World, which will feature Cory and Topanga’s children now learning how to navigate through life.
