Summer isn’t typically the season you’d think of when wanting to discover new television. For those adventurous and optimistic folks, summer is for relaxation, tans, friends, mixed drinks and my personal favorite, the beach. It’s also a time to catch up on old shows that have crowded up your DVR or fulfilling that promise to your friend that you will watch that show they recommended (Arrow and Star Trek the Original Series are currently on my list). However for others, summer is more of a beacon of dread: there’s the sweaty summer waitressing gig, the close quarters with more family than you knew you had, sand everywhere and god forbid, bikini shopping.
