Adrian leads the crew on what seemed like a wild goose chase. Luckily for the crew, the data file was retrieved along with an encryption key. The only issue being that the fleet of ships is gone ahead of schedule.
It’s good that Adrian is different from Talbor. What he lacks in physical abilities he has in information. The fact that he was able to lead the crew to file was impressive because they had to make a lot of stops and it’s a lot of information to remember. Of course, he doesn’t always have all the answers, but that helps with his humor. This episode also revealed that he’s compassionate. He clearly had feelings for Ambrosia and the pain of her betrayal was written all over his face. In my opinion, he should’ve killed her, but we’ll see whether his choice will come back to haunt him.
Ambrosia’s betrayal was a nice part to the episode. It was a testament to how being Talbor’s girlfriend might’ve changed her into the person she became. She had it all figured out and was willing to take out the competition in order to go solo. She even had a plan at the end where she pretended to be scared and have feelings for Adrian. It was kind of convincing and there was a good chance that in another life he would’ve totally fallen for her act. Only time will tell if she comes back for revenge.
The standout of the Raza crew was The Android. She went into human mode and kicked some butt. Every time she acts like a human she does such a great job that’s it’s hard to remember that she’s actually an android. She also revealed to the other android that he, too, may be able to become more human like and choose his own destiny. It was a bold move on her part and who knows if that guy might be of use in the future. Also, if The Android will choose to be human more often.
We got an interesting look at Ryo and how he’s doing with being in charge. He lost the planet that was considered the heart of his people and had to decide what to do about it. Teku said he should try and win it back, which would win over his people. Misaki said he should let it go and save it another time. Ryo ended going with Teku’s plan and lost more ships and the planet. Clearly, being emperor isn’t as easy as it sounds. This pushed him over the edge and he’s now deciding to rule with fear. One of the new steps being to bring in the assassin’s family and friends in order to make him talk. This ferocity will most likely also be pointed at the Raza crew as well. It also brings Misaki closer to being Ryo’s right hand.
As for Adrian’s right hand, Solara, we got a look into her past. She used to be a monk and was trained in martial arts as a way of discipline, but not self defense. One day when she was out, the entire monastery got killed and she took revenge by killing the bandits’ throats. Now that this information has been revealed the show needs to display how this has molded her. It’s one thing to be a monk than to be a bodyguard.
Lastly, there seems to be plans based around Six. Neiman called him Agent Zero and said it’s time to activate him, specifically against territories that aren’t complying. This might lead to him killing everyone he’s currently trying to help build up.
