I’m thankful for Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu’s Birdman. It was one of the most inventive American films in recent memory. Michael Keaton and the rest of the class in a film lampooning superhero films, while delving into the human condition and the price and cost of fame in the 21st century. – Paul Gilbert
