There have been some incredible young adult books published in the last year. These are just seven that have left me clamoring for more:
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Sequel: Glass Sword, coming February 9, 2016)
If you’ve read Red Queen, you know that there’s a massive twist at the end (and if you haven’t, what are you doing? Go read this book now!). Red Queen features an incredibly rich world with amazing characters that work their way into your heart and soul, keeping you turning the pages as fast as you possibly can. It’s exciting, suspenseful, magical, and heartbreaking, and those combined traits definitely make Glass Sword a sequel we needed yesterday.
All Fall Down by Ally Carter (Sequel: See How They Run, coming January 26, 2016)
Ally Carter doesn’t leave us with a cliffhanger at the end of All Fall Down, but it’s pretty darn close. There are so many things I need to know about Grace and her past and where this is going. Grace has been through a very tough time and I am really rooting for her to get some answers (and maybe even some kind of a happy ending), starting in See How They Run.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray (Sequel: Ten Thousand Skies Above You, coming November 3, 2015)
A Thousand Pieces of You was incredible, from the gorgeous cover to the very last page. The characters are fantastic and we get to travel dimensions—what else can a girl ask for? Plus, I have so many questions that need to be answered—will Theo be forgiven? Who is the real Paul? and more. Thank goodness Ten Thousand Skies Above You comes out this fall.
The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (Sequel: Untitled, coming 2016)

I am a sucker for mysteries, and especially for mysteries written by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, because they are always so well written and keep me guessing the whole time. The Fixer just came out, and I am already dying for a chance to spend more time with Tess, Asher, and Vivvie. And while many questions are answered in the first book, there are still so many that have been left unanswered.
The Heir by Kiera Cass (Sequel: Untitled, unknown)
The next book in the Selection series really will be the last one, and that’s heartbreaking. But that ending at the end of The Heir…I need to know if everyone is okay. Eadlyn has some interesting suitors, and there are some really unique directions this book could take. With all of those combined, this is absolutely a sequel we needed yesterday.

The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall (Sequel: Map of Fates, coming March 8, 2016)
Like I said, I love mysteries. The Conspiracy of Us is an awesome, fast-paced mystery that takes us to exotic locations around the world. Yet, it ends with so many problems and questions still lingering…Who will Avery end up with? What does the prophecy really mean? What is Avery’s role going to be in the Circle? These are just some of the answers I needed yesterday.
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (Sequel: The Rose and the Dagger, coming 2016)
The Wrath and the Dawn is a retelling of A Thousand and One Nights, and it’s beautifully written. Ahdieh transports the reader to another world, one that is so rich it’s like you can see it, smell it, and taste it. The ending leaves us with so many questions about Shahrzad and Khalid’s relationship. A rebellion is about to begin and there’s magic in the air; I can’t wait for the chance to go back to this world and find out what’s next.
What sequels are you dying to get your hands on?
