This week’s episode of The 100 was a great improvement from last week’s—we finally got some action, drama and reveals!
Sooo, I’d like to say I was right about Thelonious landing near some kind of desert people. A little boy, Zoran, finds Thelonious and brings him back to his family’s tent to nourish him back to health. His mom isn’t very fond of his arrival, but soon enough they begin to bond over their children. It turns out that Zoran has a severe deformation on his face, possibly because of radiation during his mother’s pregnancy, or simply because of fate. This has landed them in the dead zone, separated from their tribe. They’re trying to get to the city of light, Paris?
Either way, it seems that Thelonious isn’t anywhere near the United States. He ends up getting traded by Zoran’s mother, as there’s a high bounty for people from the sky. We see one of the desert guardsmen knock Thelonious out, but I highly doubt he’s dead since this story line in the desert just got interesting!
Back in the good ole United States, Bellamy, Finn and the rest of the team are still on the search for their friends. They unexpectedly run into another one of the ark’s landing sites where not many have survived. But, they hear a girl calling as she’s hanging onto the side of a cliff. Finn is completely against helping her, which goes against all that he used to stand for before. He’s really in a dark place where all he can think about is saving Clarke at any cost. Bellamy, meanwhile, still has a good head on his shoulders. They unfortunately lose one of their team members as the rope loosens and he falls to his death. But that doesn’t stop Bellamy from doing the right thing and helping their new friend, Mel—after all, she’s part of their people. The best part about that whole ordeal was that Octavia showed up! The reunion between O and Bellamy was beautiful! Even though Octavia is still heartbroken over the loss of Lincoln. The poor girl doesn’t know that he’s actually alive and has become a prisoner of the mountain men. Truly, I’m not sure which is worse. Finn and Murphy head off to find their friends while Bellamy, Octavia and the rest head back to camp as some have been injured.

Anya and Clarke continue their escape from the Mountain men. As we saw last week, Anya captured Clarke as her prisoner the moment she saw fit. I honestly really love Anya for some reason, but I detest how prideful and distrusting she is. Clarke saved her and wants to work together against the mountain men, but Anya still is always seeking a way to have the upper hand. At the same time, I get it. She’s basically a grounder warrior princess and doesn’t want to look like a punk.
But Clarke needs to survive, and so she pulls a switcheroo and plants a sedative dart in Anya’s neck saying, “You’re my prisoner now.” Clarke has certainly evolved! She’s not afraid to pull the trigger and make big moves, but I love that she still has preserved her kindness. She tried to do things the right way, she’s all for unity—but she also knows that she can’t be mistaken as weak. Clarke arrives at the drop ship site and sees her name in chalk that Abby left for her.

But then the most epic girl fight breaks out as Anya wakes up from her deep sleep. Anya is a trained killer, but Clarke doesn’t fall behind. Anya is even impressed at how well she fought, and you see that has earned Clarke Anya’s respect. Clarke is even about to possibly kill Anya, but just then a glimmer of light shines from the sky.
It turns out to be the helium aluminum balloon that was rising from the Ark’s location. Raven and our Ryan Gosling lookalike engineer friend, Wick, were trying to build a radio and used helium in order to get better reception.
The Ark’s guards are freaking out, since they believe this is only going to show all the grounders the ark’s exact location. It’s unfortunate, because their lack of common sense has them shooting at anything that moves.

Anya and Clarke have reached the Ark’s site and have agreed to work together. She was going to return to the grounders and cause a meeting to bring the ark’s technology and the grounders’ knowledge to fight. But, Anya was shot and unfortunately dies right in Clarke’s arms.
Clarke is then captured by the guardsmen. The only good thing about this is that at least some of our characters have been reunited with their loved ones.
I can’t wait to see Abby and Clarke meet again! It’s a shame that Finn had to be stubborn and go another way. If he had returned with Bellamy he would have been able to see Clarke once again.
Next week should be a great one! I think this episode has set us up for some great development.
I do have to mention: did anyone catch the chemistry between Raven and her new mechanic friend?! I’m loving them!
