At least this once Murfield wasn’t involved in Kat’s disappearance. The FBI was. They’ve captured Kat with the intent of also luring in Vincent, so they can tag team to save an agent that has been captured by terrorists in the UN building. The incentive being that if they succeed Vincent would be exonerated from the murder charges that were pressed against him. The prize is tempting enough to get Kat and Vince to accept as it beats the alternative of Vincent living life as a fugitive.
The only problem is that all of New York is on the hunt for Vincent thanks to Gabe, hence getting into the UN building or even crossing the street without being spotted by cameras is quite a task.
Gabe has officially shed his Mr. Nice Guy mask and is launching a full campaign against Vincent. The guy is totally heartbroken and has no problem using all of his authority and power to take vengeance for losing Kat. He’s a sore loser on a whole other level. But, the interesting part about Gabe is that he genuinely believes that he’s doing everything for Kat’s best interest and protection.
He even had Tess jumping on his bandwagon for a second there convincing her that if they don’t capture Vincent, Kat will be the most jeopardized as she loses her job and possibly ends up in jail too. Thankfully, Tess got herself together and was able to pull a trick on Gabe that bought Kat and Vincent a little bit of time while on their mission.
Rescuing this FBI agent didn’t seem too hard at first. Vincent was able to find her and Kat quickly with his super powered hearing and getting her out of the building in the nick of time was a success. However, Kat and Vincent get trapped inside the UN building and their only option was jumping through a glass building into the bay while being chased by a terrorist. Thankfully, it worked, and they even got the terrorist captured by the police.

Yet, Vincent and Kat were let down when they found that Vincent wouldn’t be granted the exoneration. The FBI agent, who orchestrated the whole deal, was truly sorry, but it seemed his boss wouldn’t be able to grant Vincent the free pass thanks to Gabe pulling more strings on the inside.
Besides feeling heartbroken at their loss of being able to live their romance in peace, Kat is furious.

She heads over to confront Gabe, and these were the best scenes of the episode and what everything was truly about. Gabe is returning to his beast form by succumbing to such low measures to have Vincent captured. He’s burning bridges as he’s definitely lost Kat. She once even got to love Gabe but now is convinced he’s not a person with a good heart—another kind of beast yet a beast nonetheless. Gabe’s reaction was very well delivered as he’s saddened to hear Kat’s words, but his pride is relentless and it doesn’t seem like his chase for Vince will be stopping anytime soon. He did go as far as arresting poor JT.
To think that once upon a time Gabe was doing everything possible to redeem himself after his beast instincts had gone out of control and now he’s after Vincent for a completely different reason.
It’s going to be interesting to see to what lengths Gabe will go.

I’m also expecting for Kat and Vincent to be on the same page romantically at least for one moment as they’re always going back and forth on whether Vince should run or if they should try to work things out with all the difficulties that surround them. It was refreshing to see Vincent put his big boy pants on and decide to quit running for Kat’s protection. They should fight against all odds to be together after all that they’ve been through. Hopefully, Kat is onboard for Vincent’s newfound boldness.
