Happy Valentine’s Day!
How appropriate that today of all days is our stop on the Historical Heartthrobs Blog Tour! The past few weeks I’ve been flipping through this fun and oddly sexy book of facts and stories on some of history’s most interesting figures.
Seriously. This book is full of fascinating information. By giving history a pop culture kick, it makes learning fun. The authors know how to wittily spin out the history of these hot dudes and dudettes and evaluate them not just on physical attractiveness but by who they are and how they impacted others and the world. She gives us a new and tantalizing perspective on these figures and makes them seem more awesome and inspiring than ever before. (Also, I am TOTALLY going to own at Trivia Night from now on.)

Her articles have appeared in Brokelyn, Brooklyn Based, Chic Today, NCTE’s The Council Chronicle, and various other publications. A Penn State graduate, Kelly currently works in publishing. Hallie Fryd is the author of Scandalous!: 50 Shocking Events You Should Know About (So You Can Impress Your Friends), which was a Foreword Reviews Book of the Year Winner in 2012.
