Disney releases Teaser Trailer for Live-Action Dumbo

Walt Disney Pictures has released the teaser-trailer for the live-action Dumbo due in theaters next March.

Directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, the film’s hope is to capture the same heart, emotion, and feeling of the 1941 animated classic.  Colin Farrell leads a cast that includes Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Eva Green, Alan Arkin, Finley Hobbins, and Nico Parker.  The animated film is one of many classics in the Disney canon to be adapted into a live-action film.

With technological advances, the film is able to go to limits that Walt Disney could never have imagined possible.  Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) brings in Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children, Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins), in order to take care of a young elephant born with oversized ears.  With the circus struggling, things change when they discover Dumbo can fly.  Dumbo’s abilities soon get the attention of entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton) and his Dreamland venture.

The teaser comes ahead of the theatrical release of the long-awaited Pixar sequel, The Incredibles 2.

Walt Disney Pictures will open Dumbo in theaters on March 29, 2019.
