Canadian Daniel has come to save the second Rose Ceremony that has taken six episodes to come to fruition. His rose will save at least one girl from leaving Bachelor in Paradise and things got interesting.
Lacey, Christen, and Jasmine got forceful to try and win Daniel’s rose after Matt dipped out. Lacey is the only one who actually wants to date Daniel and, thankfully, he saw that and offered her the rose. However, there was another plot twist! Matt returned to give Jasmine his rose because he said she “deserves it” and didn’t want it to go to waste. She accepted the rose, but had no words for him as she turned around to go stand back in line.
Unfortunately, Sarah and Dolphin/Shark Alexis were sent home as Ben Z. swooped in to save D.Lo after Dean chose Kristina. Honestly, I thought Ben would choose Alexis, but it just goes to show anything can happen on Paradise!
Probably the scariest part of Paradise since the shutdown was when masked Mexican wrestlers came to wake Daniel up to give him a date card. If I was on Paradise, I would’ve flipped out. Daniel made the smart choice and asked Lacey. They have a fun date hanging with the wrestlers and Lacey was particularly happy to see more of Daniel with his shirt off.
But when they get back, Lacey got duped again. Instead of a newcomer stealing her man like Dominique did with Diggy after their date, a seemingly-desperate Jasmine swoops in to get herself some Canadian bacon and Lacey is not here for it.
Tickle Monster Jonathan Treece (Bachelorette 13) arrived and things got weird real quick as everyone wanted to be tickled by him. The girls are surprisingly into it. However, Tickle Monster bypassed tickling and went straight to kissing Christen. Props to Christen who might be a virgin, but the girl has some moves. She has had the least amount of time on Paradise and has already made out with three guys. Get it, girl.
Just as Jasmine stole Daniel from Lacey, Jack Stone stole Christen the second she got back from her date with Tickle Monster and started making out with her. Christen is the surprise man-eater of this season of Paradise for sure.
Time to talk about America’s favorite Russian cutie. Ever since Dean gave Kristina his rose he’s been distance. He obviously wants to date D.Lo, but knows she won’t like him as much as Kristina does. Like that matters? Dean flip-flopping between the two is heartbreaking to watch. Kristina is over the drama and even says that the orphanage in Russia was better than Paradise, which says a lot about Dean’s character. Dean was never my favorite going in, but how he is pitting two girls against each other and disregarding their feelings is sickening. I want Kristina to pull a TSwift and ask to be excluded from this narrative.

Just like DeMario in episode four, Chris Harrison brings Corinne on to discuss the situation surrounding the shutdown. Corinne admits she drank too much while also being on new medication. Corinne said she didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to drink while on it and said the combination wasn’t good. While she ultimately seemed fine on the outside, Corinne said the effects made her mind not be completely there.
Corinne, like DeMario, said it was normal the next day. She said she was doing her, DeMario was doing himself, and everyone was just hanging out. Corinne cleared the air and said she doesn’t think DeMario did anything wrong. She said no one could have any idea the way she was reacting to the medication and called it an unfortunate and annoying situation that had to go down.
While I was skeptical when Chris brought DeMario on episode four and, hearing Corinne would be on episode six, I thought they were just dragging the issue out. But I have to hand it to The Bachelor franchise, they were able to set the story straight and clear the air proving that nothing went wrong. The words came straight from both “participants” mouths, there are no ill feelings between Corinne and DeMario. Now, it’s time for everyone to move on from this unfortunate situation and get back to having fun in the Paradise sun.
