After five episodes of Bachelor in Paradise, we are so close to a second Rose Ceremony as the men hold the power this round. However, in Paradise fashion, good things must come to those who wait.
But good things were not welcomed in this episode as a storm began to brew on the beach in Mexico. Wells started to narrate Jasmine’s life by calling her Dr. Jekyll and Miss Jasmine. When newcomer Christen Whitney (Bachelor 21), the virgin from Nick’s season, comes to Paradise, Miss Jasmine leaves the beach and Dr. Jekyll comes out to play. Christen obviously has a death wish and chooses Matt, Jasmine’s bae, on her date.
Then comes the one-liner heard around TV previews: “Want good TV ABC? I’m going to give you good TV.” Jasmine said this to the camera before confronting Christen. Jasmine unleashes her emotions on her and walks out, leaving the girl dismayed.
However, there’s nothing like a date to cheer someone up! On their date, Matt and Christen explored a small town, shopping and eating. I have to note that on Christen’s date, they get chocolate covered bananas. This is Bachelor in Paradise and nothing is coincidental because what does a banana remind people of? They definitely want you to use your imagination.
The MVP of this episode is Wells, who tells Jasmine she’s terrifying, especially when Jasmine said Christen acted like she was going to get choked. Honestly, if I saw Jasmine coming my way in a heat of anger, I’d be terrified too! I loved Jorge, but Wells as the bartender is the best. I want him to narrate my life the way he narrates Paradise’s drama.
The best part is that Wells also throws puppets into his storytelling. Wells does a rendition of Jasmine’s stories and with the puppets. His version blows her’s out of the water. ABC, if you’re reading this, give Wells a show around him and his puppets. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
By the end of the episode, the love triangle between poor Matt, Christen, and Jasmine comes to an end. Matt was so done with it and even revealed to Jasmine before the Rose Ceremony that he’s going home. He told her something was holding him back from truly connecting with anyone, whether it be Jasmine or Christen.
Of course, Jasmine is upset, not knowing what to do next, but Christen bounced back very quickly. Within minutes of Matt peacing out, Christen was soon consoled by Jack. The two wasted no time sticking their tongues down each other’s throats.

In the end, when Chris comes to announce the Rose Ceremony fans have waited five episodes for, he reveals the twist. In walks Canadian treasure, Daniel Maguire (Bachelor in Paradise 3). To recap, earlier this season, Lacey mentioned she wanted to see Daniel on Paradise. Now that she was recently dumped by Diggy, let’s just say she’s excited to see this tall drip of syrup to arrive.
