British indie rockers Bastille have released the first single from their second album onto streaming services following its U.K. radio premiere.
The song, titled “Good Grief”, the first single from Wild World, due this summer. The song features a sample of actress Kelly Le Brock from the 1985 film Weird Science and was premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 program on June 16. The song received its American debut through a simultaneous broadcast to all 36 of iHeartRadio’s alternative format radio stations.
The band announced the impending release of Wild World through a trailer on their Youtube page. A release date has not been announced for the album as of press time, but the band is slated to appear at several festivals in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada throughout the summer. The itinerary includes appearances at the Glastonbury Festival on June 24, T in the Park on July 9 and Lollapalooza on July 28.
Wild World is the follow-up to their 2013 debut album Bad Blood, which included the international hit single “Pompeii”. The album was certified Double Platinum in the United Kingdom and Gold in the United States. An expanded re-issue of Bad Blood, titled All This Bad Blood, was issued in November 2013.
