There’s very little in this world that I love more than seeing badass ladies succeeding, which is why my being a Miranda Lambert fan rocks. Lambert has been kicking ass and taking names, especially over the past year—she was named CMT Artist of the Year, won Artist of the Year, Best Female Vocalist, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year at the CMAs, and of course, took home the Grammy for Best Country Album. Her fifth and latest studio album, Platinum, skyrocketed to the top of the charts and was widely praised by critics.
Following last year’s singles “Automatic” and “Somethin’ Bad” (featuring Carrie Underwood), Lambert premiered the video for the third single off of Platinum. “Little Red Wagon” has all of the marks of a great Miranda song—her signature confidence and sass mixed with a dash of kicking unworthy dudes to the curb. Check out the video here:
Miranda spends the majority of the video looking fabulous in red while lounging at a hotel (natch), while the maid dances around making the bed and the concierge rocks out on air guitar. The video closes with Miranda passing a hopeful guy, dashing those hopes with her bedazzled “Mrs. Shelton” belt. Simple, fun, bright. A+, Miranda.
What did you think of the “Little Red Wagon” video? What Platinum track should get a video next?
