Drake, AC/DC and Jack White headline the annual festival scheduled over two weekends, April 10-12 and April 17-19, in Indio, Calif.
Other notable acts include Florence + The Machine, David Guetta, Fitz and The Tantrums, Brand New, Steely Dan, Porter Robinson, Alabama Shakes, Interpol, Tyler the Creator, and Lykke Li. The festival features artists within the hip-hop, rock and electronic dance music genres across five stages.
Coachella has consistently been a success since its inception in 1999 and has steadily gained national attention after its first sellout in 2004. The festival has a reputation for featuring up-and-coming artists, reunited bands and established musicians. Last year’s lineup was highlighted by Outkast, Muse and Arcade Fire.
Besides music, art and sculpture also play an important role at the festival. Aspiring artists are encouraged to submit their work for review to be featured each year. It is a rain or shine event, friendly for all ages and pass holders have the option of camping on site.
Set times will be posted a couple of days in advance at Coachella.com and will also be made available on the guide that is passed out at the entrance.
