Imagine Dragons released a new music video today for their single, “I Bet My Life,” which is currently the only new music available from the band’s forthcoming album.
The video was directed by Canadian filmmaker, Jodeb, whose resume includes “Clarity” by Zedd featuring Foxes and “Lionhearted” by Porter Robinson featuring Urban Cone.
Filmed at Theodore Roosevelt Dam in Arizona, the landscape offered an ideal setting for the director to include intense visuals and effects, according to a press release from UMusic.
“As the first video on our new album, it was especially important that we capture the emotion of the song,” said Dan Reynolds, the frontman of Imagine Dragons. “Although it was written about my sometimes strained relationship with my parents, our director had a powerful vision for how the feeling of the story could be portrayed. We were also lucky to have such amazing talent to work with in our lead actor Dane DeHaan.” DeHaan is mostly recognized for his role as Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
No official title or date has been released regarding Imagine Dragons’ sophomore album. However, more information regarding the single can be found on this post.
