Bring Me the Horizon released a new music video for its single, “Drown.”
The rockers from England are leaving people scratching their heads as they are known for their heavier sound, while this song is noticeably softer. Nevertheless, the band is receiving mostly positive feedback on social media from fans and critics alike.
“Drown” is unlike any track the band has released to date, and demonstrates its ability to be successful within multiple genres. The song brings new evidence of frontman Oli Sykes’ ability to carry beautiful melodies in addition to his notorious hair-raising screams. Sykes has always been known to have an interesting combination of singing while screaming, but leaves the latter at the door for this tune.
In recent news, BMTH won two awards at the first annual Alternative Press Music Awards this past summer for Best International Band and Album of the Year, for their fourth full-length release, “Sempiternal.” They were also recently on tour with A Day to Remember, Motionless in White, and Chiodos on the massive Parks and Devastation tour.
Although there is no official word on a new album yet, “Drown” is leading us to believe there is new music coming soon. Until then, feel free to check out their newest video here:
