We were lucky enough to sit down and chat with Latino singer-songwriter Luis Enrique about his new album, Jukebox! The album is a compilation of his favorite cover songs transformed into salsa hits. Some of the songs include quintessential pop sounds like ‘Noche de Copas,’ originally by Maria Conchita Alonso, and ‘Tengo Todo Excepto a Ti,’ originally by Luis Miguel. Jukebox is definitely a more upbeat take on classic favorites. I’m not the biggest fan of Spanish ballads, so it’s a great change up to see these lyrically fantastic songs in a more enjoyable and fun new way.
Here’s what you need to know about the artist himself. Luis Enrique has been around for as long as I can remember (I live in a Cuban household, so it’s not much of a surprise). He’s always kept up with the times and has remained relevant in the Hispanic music industry since his career began in the late 1980s. His biggest hit, ‘Yo No Se Mañana,’ has 2.5 million+ views on YouTube and his new album Jukebox has already debuted at number 1 on iTunes and Amazon, ahead of Marc Anthony and Romeo Santos! So do yourself a favor and fill your life with some Latino flavor! Listen to our interview below (it’s in English in case you were wondering) and get to know the amazingly talented, Nicaraguan sensation, Luis Enrique!

I’ve also decided to bless you all with the lyric video for his first single off of Jukebox, entitled ‘Noche de Copas!’ Give it a listen!
