Alright, we’ve all gone to concerts where opening acts are just a little off… Admit it! You spend a lot of your time before the concert doing a little research on the artists, trying to learn at least 2 or 3 songs so you don’t look cool when they get on stage because you know a few of their songs. Well, here’s the thing about Conway– she’s not one of those artists you should start looking up just before you’re seeing her perform.
First of all, it’s no wonder she’s been touring with Ellie Goulding. Sunfest 2014 was one of their last stops on their North American tour and they both brought some serious heat to West Palm Beach. Conway has this sort of incredible energy about her, it’s almost impossible to take your eyes off of her while she’s on that stage. She’s got an amazing voice, fun and upbeat hooks and really knows how to rock a tambourine. It’s hard to pinpoint her sound because it’s that unique; I couldn’t compare it to another artist really, but she’s almost like a love-child birthed by the ladies of HAIM. Which is still a pretty odd comparison as it is.
While she rocked back and forth on stage she managed to be engaging as hell and interactive with the fans. It’s important for opening acts to really remain entertaining throughout their entire performance and she really nailed it. She has the confidence a lot of artists dream of having which is something to be admired. All I kept thinking to myself was how badly I wanted to know ALL of her songs so I can rock out and sing along with her! It was unfortunate — for me.
Conway is the type of artist you’d want as your opening act to really get the crowd going. Basically, she’s a badass bitch. Check out her music video for Big Talk and if you have the chance to see her live, do yourself a favor and don’t think twice about it.

Also, just because I can, here’s one of my my favorite shots of Ellie. Keep an eye out for Ivanna’s review of Ellie’s performance.
