Kasabian. That’s a name I haven’t heard in quite a while. You might remember some great tracks from them including the hit singles “Club Foot” and “Fire“. Well, the English rock band is finally making a come back this year by releasing their fifth studio album entitled 48:13 (taken from its running time). The full album will be released on June 9.
48:13 will be the follow-up to 2011’s Velociraptor!, album that was highly reviewed and it went straight to number one in Album Charts. The first single, “Eez-eh” from their upcoming album has just been released and let me tell you…it has a lot of beat and rhythm. Will this new sound work for them? The track has a very dance/electronic/trance feel and to be honest, it’s quite catchy. The lyrics are out-of-this-world as well. Take for example “Tired of taking orders/Coping with disorders/Running out of power/Sun in my milk shower”. You get the gist. Will it become the hit single for the summer? Only time will tell.
The band – that includes members Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews – have had three other top five albums, including their self-titled debut back from 2004 and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum from 2009. Nice to have you back, boys.
While we wait for 48:13, you can watch the video for “Eez-eh” below. Let us know what you think!
