While we were glued to the screen watching the Justin Timberlake Concert MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday, we noticed a new Beats by Dre commercial featuring an oddly familiar face…and sound. Turns out that indeed, the real Slim Shady, Eminem, will be returning to music once again, and this time with his brand new single “Berzerk“. Listen below:
“Now this sh*t’s about to kick off, this party looks wack/ Let’s take it back to straight hip-hop and start it from scratch”
The single “Berzerk” is from Eminem’s upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, the title alone isn’t enough indication that Eminem is going back to his roots, and we are all for it.
The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be released on November 5th 2013.
In other news also related to the VMAs, it seems like Miley Cyrus and Kanye West collaborated on a remix of Yeezus‘ “Black Skinhead” from a forthcoming remix EP that is due to be released later this year . Well, this is all according to The New York Post, so we will just have to wait and see. We wonder if Miley’s performance made Kanye ask her to be part of the remix or if this was all settled before the VMAs?
However, a collaboration that did happen and leaked online is a single called “Twerk” featuring Lil Twist, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

We want to say that we didn’t see this one coming, but we totally did. Come on, after THAT performance this is the least Miley could do.
