Listen to Lana Del Rey’s ‘Great Gatsby’ Single “Young & Beautiful”

A few days ago, we posted the samples from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. It only gave us a short preview of Lana Del Rey’s contribution to the movie’s soundtrack. The track, “Young and Beautiful,” will be a single from the album, which includes songs from Beyoncé, Jack White, Florence + the Machine and many more awesome artists.

Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” will officially release this Tuesday, April 23, but you can listen to it now below:

 

What do you think? Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann worked on the song himself, which is probably why it sounds like it fits the film perfectly. The song is–for lack of a better word–beautiful. Lana Del Rey sings softly with feeling, making it a quite lovely track. It’s my favorite full track from the album so far (and I listened to Florence + the Machine’s song several times this weekend). The Great Gatsby soundtrack releases on May 7th. The film opens in theaters on May 10th.
