Liam Gallagher released his brand new album just a few weeks ago, giving critics something (good) to talk about. Now, big brother Noel is asking for our attention.
Following the release of “Holy Mountain” in early October, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released “Fort Knox” on Friday, the second single and first track of the band’s upcoming new album entitled Who Built the Moon? In a statement, the eldest of the Gallagher’s said that they finished the track on the last day of recording. “It started from a conversation talking about the Kanye West track “The Power“. The singer Y-See, had never even heard the track and she started to do this vocal over it and it was like: fucking hell! It all just fell in to place.”
The 4-minute song features a strong bassline mixed with a psychedelic variety of guitars, drums (and a strange ringing?). Not a bad way to start an album, right?
Of course, Liam didn’t exactly receive the song with open arms:

Who Built The Moon is scheduled to be released on November 24th and will feature guest appearances from Johnny Marr and Paul Weller. Any guesses as to which brother will take the Best Album of 2017 ribbon? We will have to wait until late November to find out. It’s Gallagher vs. Gallagher time!
