Warner Brothers released the first trailer for its upcoming feature Me Before You, which is based on the bestselling novel by Jojo Moyes. Moyes co-wrote the screenplay for the film.
The film stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Louisa “Lou” Clarke, a quirky 26-year-old who takes on a job that requires her to be a caregiver and companion to Will Trainor, played by Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games series), a wealthy banker who lost the adventurous spirit he had before he became paralyzed two years prior. Determined to change his cynical view of the world, Lou embarks on a series of adventures with Will and both end up getting more than what they expected.
Me Before You will mark the directorial debut of Tina Sharrock and is produced by Karen Rosenfelt (The Twilight Saga series) and Alison Owen (Saving Mr. Banks).
The film also stars Jenna Coleman (Dr. Who), Matthew Lewis (The Harry Potter films), Brendan Goyle (Downton Abbey), and Vanessa Kirby (About Time).
Me Before You is set to hit theaters June 3.
