The more that we see of the upcoming sequel/universe adjacent Logan the more we as fans grow excited for what looks like something completely singular from not just the rest of the X-Men Universe, but from the superhero cinematic universe in general. It’s a great amount of pressure to put on a film and the expectations loom over the impending release date, but there’s no denying that this is the grittiest Hugh Jackman has looked as the Wolverine and with Patrick Steward and the newcomer Dafne Keen, the film is undoubtedly going to impress on the performance level. We’ll just have to wait and see if the direction and storytelling will keep up with the talent they have on board.
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
