Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis star in The Campaign, a comedy to be released on August 10th. According to the official site, Will Ferrell plays Cam Brady, a long term congressman, and Zach Galifianakis plays Marty Huggins, the director for the Tourist Center. Cam Brady is a shoe-in to win the election, until he makes a major mistake causing big-time CEOs to back up Mary Huggins to run. Through his supporters and political ties, Marty gains popularity and all the two care about is mudslinging and denouncing each other. With the same director as Meet the Fockers, Jay Roach, and starring Jason Sudeikis, Brian Cox, Dan Aykroyd, John Lithgow, Katherine LaNasa and Dylan McDermott, you can tell this movie will be funny.
The two showed up to Comic Con uninvited and used that time to campaign for their movie. They were asked what advice they would give Obama and Romney on the upcoming election, and Will Ferrell answered that both Obama and Milt (yes, Milt) should be sure to wash their underwear. They later went on stating their feats for impressing a girl (and jail time). In another video, the two speak about their bills if they were elected. Both agreed on turning left on red, and even caused the crowd to chant it as well.
While there was little press release on the upcoming movie, the movie has been promised to make people laugh and even question their morals. Be sure to view some of the posters here:
