Not much is known about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the sequel to the fabulous and massively succesul Guardians of the Galaxy, both directed by James Gunn who has brought an exciting energy to the Marvel universe. In the first teaser premiering before what hopefully should be a trailer release we’re reintroduced to Star Lord, Gamora, Rocket and co., as they once again fight against their more corrupt personas to do some good, save the day and be the guardians they’ve set out to be.
Again, while little is indicated in this micro teaser about what the actual storyline is going to entail, it’s good to see that we are once again going to be on the receiving end of some well placed, trademark humor, Drax blunt talk and baby Groot being adorable. It looks like Nebula will be getting a bigger role as well which is exciting after Karen Gillan was a small scale breakout in the first.
What’s even better though are the visuals that once again embrace color like no other film in the Marvel extended universe, where each shot is full to the brim with intriguing worlds and vibrancy.
Summer 2017 can’t come soon enough but at the very least we’ll have a longer sneak peak to tide us over once we are in our Marvel drought between Doctor Strange and this.
