After impressing critics with his science fiction road trip, Midnight Special, Jeff Nichols is back with an even more tender story. Loving tells the true story of an interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga) and their fight to live as a family in their hometown.
Amidst all of the tragic events that have been occurring as of late, Loving will surely pull at some heartstrings. Nichols has always excelled at showcasing human emotion, and this film is no exception. The trailer already shows beautiful chemistry between Egerton and Negga, and—with such a powerful topic that’s still relevant today—, Nichols chose the perfect time to premiere this trailer.
Loving will be in select cities on November 4th and will expand nationwide later that month.
