The most famous group rock history will return to theaters this September in a new documentary from Oscar winner Ron Howard.
Eight Days a Week: The Touring Years follows the band from their residency at Liverpool’s storied Cavern Club and through to their final concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 29, 1966. The documentary covers the band during Beatlemania as they performed night after night to screaming crowds across the globe.
The film was made with full cooperation from The Beatles’ Apple Corps corporation and features new interviews from surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. It is the first documentary on the Beatles to be officially sanctioned by Apple Corps since Beatles Anthology in 1995.
Eight Days a Week will premiere in London on September 15, and will reach American shores on September 16. Following its American theatrical premiere, the film will be made available exclusively to Hulu Plus subscribers on September 17.
