With the recent success of the rebooted X-Men franchise, all starting with X-Men: First Class back in 2011, it’s no wonder 20th Century Fox refuses to let go of their Marvel properties as long as the money machine keeps on printing. With direct sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past grossing over $700 million at the global box office, director Bryan Singer has been brought back on to direct this newest feature from the X-Men legacy. With the last two X-Men features receiving widespread acclaim, it’s more than likely audiences will be met with another fantastic entry into Fox’s rendition of the hit Marvel comic series.
X-Men: Apocalypse has the group of super-mutants facing off with their greatest threat yet, an ancient mutant once worshiped as a god known solely as “Apocalypse” (Oscar Isaac). Believed to be both immortal and invincible, he awakens from thousands of years in slumber to discover a world he is disgusted with. Bringing on four fellow mutants to be his “four horseman of the apocalypse,” the X-Men bring on a team of their own, a new class of mutants to help defeat their biggest foe ever. However, these new mutants may not be quite ready to use their powers to the fullest extent, but if they wish to save their world once again, they may not have much of a choice.
