Captain America: Civil War is just around the corner with its May 6 release, and it looks like everyone is picking a side. Yet, as Captain America may be center stage in the newest Marvel flick, surely he isn’t the right team for you to join! Why fight for someone who’s likely wearing American flag printed underpants, when you can fight alongside the ranks of a literal god and a man in a suit of iron who launched a freaking nuke into space!
Let’s point out the elephant in the room, Team Captain America, for all his justice loving ways, is harboring two fugitives on his side of the conflict. Scott Lang notoriously robbed Pym Technologies and dresses up as this so-called “Ant Man” pretending everything he’s done can be erased. Well listen up Lang, you may have a lovable rascal personality and your daughter is as cute as button, but you caused businessman Darren Cross to literally implode! Is this someone you want to side with people!?
Not to mention, Winter Soldier was perfectly okay with potentially murdering dozens of people because “Oh no, I’ve been brainwashed, oh well lolz.” Yet, the Captain chooses to ignore his friend’s transgressions and keep him from serving due time for his crimes. Captain America may be labeling his team as “freedom fighters” wishing to keep the Avengers free of control, but at the same time, he ignores his own moral code for the sake of keeping his long-lost friend out of prison! This is as “Un-American” as it gets!
With newcomer Black Panther and Spiderman already having joined our ranks, what more of a reason do you need to to align yourself with Iron Man’s team in this all out Civil War? Scarlet Witch wished to decimate the Avengers once and for all and Hawkeye killed countless people for his master Loki; do you really wish to side with all of these malice individuals for the sake of a false value Captain has drilled into your skulls!?
