This is the 11th year HUMP! has graced us with their diverse representation of all different types of sex. This all-inclusive film festival features 18 5-minute short films that range from cakes to unicorns. This sexual anthology will awaken and enlighten you to the limitless possibilities underneath the sexual umbrella. The best thing about a film festival like this is that it helps reinforce a positive and encouraging sexual environment, free of any judgement or stigmatization. Everyone is a god, goddess or deity of their choosing and deserves to be treated as such. This festival is for anyone with the misconception that adventurous sex is only what is depicted in the awful film Fifty Shades of Grey.
Here is a brief synopsis of each short film:
Hysterical Bullshit – A dedicated but distracted reader attempts to get through Mike Huckabee’s Gods, Guns, Grits and Gravy.
Cake Boss – Beat until stiff; unlike any other whipping scene you’ve seen in HUMP!
Hotels and Haircuts – Hairdressers do it better.
The Collector – A man opens up about his disturbing collection. A truly jarring film.
Art Primo: Dick & Pussy – An afternoon’s delight.
Blown – Men embrace their bodies — and their blowjobs.

Let’s Try to Fuck – Young Billy learns some valuable life lessons in this highly educational film.
Lube Dispenser – This is the one you’ll be talking about with your friends — and your therapist.
Porn Star of the Year – Meet the man behind the money shots.
Cuckold – A straight couple acts on an emotionally charged fantasy.

Film Bonoir – A cynical dick takes on a challenging head case.
Hey Man – The voices are coming from inside your phone!
It Kind of Feels Like… – Yeah… it kinda does feel like that!
Unicorn in the Castle – Kinks aren’t just for kids.

Orgies Happening Tonight – You never know who you’ll meet at the town’s biggest and best orgy.
Two Boys and Some Rope – Everything the title promises – plus blue tube socks and some truly hot sex.
Pachisi – A man, a woman, a board game.
I Fist a Grrrl – How come we never get invited to houseparties this exciting?
Lipstick – A killer night.
Level Up – Fun and feminism and video games and hot sex.
Wild Lovers – Two queers and some rope.
DICK – For anyone who thinks there wasn’t enough dick in HUMP this year.
The festival is making its rounds to Montreal, Columbus, Portland, Philadelphia and more. This weekend it is going to be in my hometown of Chicago, and you better believe I’m going to be there. The festival is starting off Thursday, April 7th at the legendary Music Box Theater with a live “Lovecast” recording of Dan Savage’s highly influential podcast, Savage Love. If you’ve ever listened to the podcast, you already know how much fun it will be, and now you get to be part of it. The festival screenings will follow on Friday and Saturday, showing at 7pm and 9:30pm each night. To buy your tickets before they sell out, visit the HUMP! Tour website. Dan Savage will be on deck as host for every screening, so you can’t miss it.
Needless to say, many of these shorts will include fully nude actors of all shapes, shades and sizes. Like the spirit of the festival, you’ll need to be open, accepting and positive of all different tastes and points of view. For nudity related reasons, you also should be 18+ if you plan on attending. Exlusively to TYF readers, we are giving away one pair of tickets to Dan Savage’s live podcast recording on Thursday, April 7th in Chicago. We are giving away a pair of tickets to the screening of your choice (either time on Friday or Saturday) to another lucky winner.
Log in to either Disquis or Facebook in the comment section below and write your name and which you’re entering for (putting either the podcast, the screening or both) and the specific date and time if you’re choosing the screening. This is for Chicago residents only. I’ll be choosing winners tomorrow (4/7) morning, so if you are entering for the Dan Savage live recording, make sure you’re free that evening.
As my good friend* RuPaul would say, “Good luck, and don’t fuck it up.”
(*not really my good friend, but I can dream!)
