Our favorite blue tang who stole our hearts in Finding Nemo is now getting the spotlight in her own animated film, Finding Dory. D23 Expo attendees got to take a closer look into Disney·Pixar’s anticipated film, which stars the funny Ellen DeGeneres. During the presentation, DeGeneres was joined by Ed O’Neill, who will be the voice of Hank, the cantankerous octopus. But those won’t be the only interesting characters we will get to meet.
Ty Burrell will be the voice of Bailey, who is a misguided beluga whale, and Kaitlin Olson will be the voice of Destiny, who a kind-hearted whale shark. The star studded cast will sure to bring many laughs once the movie hits theaters.
Though we get to meet a bunch of new characters, some familiar faces from Finding Nemo will also take part in the film, such as Nemo and Marlin. The gang is back together in search of the answers that Dory has been looking for. As we uncover her past, we will get to figure out what she can remember (despite her forgetful behavior), who her parents are, and much more. The film is being directed by renowned director Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Angus MacLane, and produced by Lindsey Collins, who was a co-producer for WALL•E. As the buzz continues to build, we are looking forward to learning more about this epic adventure of our forgetful blue fish.
Finding Dory swims into theaters June 17, 2016.
