This week Disney Animation Studios released a teaser trailer for their upcoming animated film Zootopia. The beginning of the trailer states that it will be “like nothing you’ve ever seen be-fur.”
Zootopia is set in a world devoid of humans and inhabited by animals who walk, talk, and dress like humans would. We are given a quick rundown of the dynamics of this world through a PSA-style. Toward the end of the trailer we are introduced to the film’s two main characters: Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) and Judy Hops (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin). The trailer introduces the widely-known fact that foxes and rabbits are natural enemies, but also that the differences between them could help them in the future.
The film is directed by the team of Bryan Howard (Tangled) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph) and co-directed by Jared Bush (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero).
Zootopia will hit theaters on March 4, 2016.
