Famed for his debut film Love Actually, director Richard Curtis hasn’t been meeting the mark lately. His latest film Pirate Radio didn’t live up to its hype but his next smaller budget project just might put him back on top. Variety reports that his upcoming sci-fi time-travel film, ‘About Time‘ has its possible leads and they’ll likely peak your interest!
500 Days of Summer and New Girl star Zooey Deschanel will be teaming with Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley!) who you might have also seen in True Grit and Never Let Me Go. Curtis has written the script himself. It will follow Tim (Gleeson), who figures out the power of time-travel runs in his family and he begins to use it to brighten up his life, focusing on his new love interest Mary (Deschanel).
Deschanel hasn’t officially signed onto the project, but with any luck she will take this on. Can you imagine the kind of attention it will receive from boys who have already fallen in love with Deschanel’s geeky pin up girl archetype?
