Jim Parsons plays Oh in his new animated comedy, Home. Oh is a loveable misfit from another planet, who finds himself on Earth after his species (the Boov) have taken over the planet in order to avoid the evil Gorg. As a result from this intrusive, but adorable invasion, the human inhabitants have been forcibly relocated to other parts of the world. Rihanna’s Tip is one of the few humans left in the region that the Boov have claimed as their own, and is on a quest to find her mother. Circumstances place both Oh and Tip on the same path, and together they learn about each other, they learn the meaning of friendship, and most importantly, they learn the true value of the word HOME.
It is no secret that Jim Parsons is well-acquainted with outlandish jargon in his work as Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, and as Oh, he gets to dabble in extra-terrestrial slang that is just too charming not to catch on. In the roundtable interview below, listen to Jim talk about the weird dialogue that always seems to follow him around, the process of working on an animated film, his upcoming projects, and his work with Rihanna, which will inevitably lead them to collaborating on a new album.
