Entertainment Weekly has exclusively revealed the winning female screenwriters for the screenplay portion of the New Voices of Twilight Saga project. Each screenwriter was required to submit an original short story in the form of a short film set in the Twilight universe. Out of the 1,200 submission that EW received, only six screenplays were chosen. Women in Film, Lionsgate, Facebook, Volvo, and author Stephenie Meyer selected the following scripts and writers:
“The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear follows Alice and the events that lead to her becoming a vampire.
“Sunrise” by Alanna Smith tells Benjamin’s story.
“Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson is about Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.
“The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear focuses on Alice’s human life before she became a vampire.
“Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler & Megan L. Reese tells Jane and Alec’s story.
“We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green is all about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.

Each screenplay can be read on Tongal’s contest page. The winner for the filmmaker portion of the contest will be announced at a later date.
Entertainment Weekly also reported that the grand prize winner of the contest will have the opportunity to shadow a director on a Lionsgate project and a brand new 2015 Volve XC90.
