Prior to its leak last afternoon, the Avengers 2: Age of Ultron trailer was scheduled to premiere during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’s latest episode next Tuesday. However, after it seemed like a vast majority of fans had viewed the trailer in a few-hour time span, Marvel took it upon itself to release the official Avengers 2 teaser trailer on YouTube last night–and take down all of its leaks in the process. This was all to the bewilderment and joy of fans, who, so far, have responded to Avengers 2 with exhilaration and, most notably, remarks of how grim this trailer seems compared to previous installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. Here, Ultron looks like a complete bad-ass, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch make new additions to the Avengers team, and Iron Man and the Hulk go head-to-head in a big city showdown.
