I do not know about you guys, but I have been dying to see any sort of trailer for Pixar’s upcoming movie, Inside Out. Ever since the news broke about Pixar’s latest project, my Disney side was overjoyed. Pixar was quiet about it for quite some time, until now. A few days ago, they finally released their first teaser trailer for the film! Directed by Pete Docter, the concept is unlike any other film Pixar has done before. I already have a feeling that this movie is going to be good. The main character, Riley, was inspired by Pete Docter’s own daughter. We all wonder what goes on in our own heads, especially while we are growing up. This film gives us a visual idea as to the inner-workings of our minds. From our emotions to our other triggers, Pixar tackles the complexity of the human mind. The movie involves a family move from the Midwest to San Francisco, which is a huge change for young Riley. Her emotions help guide her through this dramatic change, and those emotions are: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness. With very distinct personalities, there are bound to be a number of conflicts between the emotions. I loved Monsters, Inc. and Up, so I am very excited to see what Pete Docter and the rest of the Pixar team have up their sleeves. As one who loves to learn more about the mind, I cannot help but immediately fall in love with the concept. I love learning more about how our minds work, and who is not curious about that in some way? Also, all the emotions are so adorable: Yes – even grumpy Anger.
The movie hits theaters on June 19, 2015.
