If you thought your Tuesday was going to be tear-free, you were wrong! This renewed weeping is courtesy of the latest If I Stay trailer, revealed by the If I Stay Twitter earlier this evening. Based on the international bestseller by Gayle Forman, If I Stay follows Mia Hall (Chloe Moretz), a cello prodigy in the midst of trying to choose between pursuing a Juilliard education and staying close to her guitarist boyfriend, the sexy Adam Wilde (Jamie Blackley). When a horrific car accident leaves her without her family, she’s faced with an even worse choice—does she stay or leave?

As if I wasn’t excited enough for this movie, they had to go and release this trailer. Whereas the first trailer focused on introducing Mia and the story’s central devastating conflict, this one gives a glimpse of Mia’s relationships with Adam and her parents. If this trailer is any indication, the movie is going to be just as striking and raw as Forman’s debut novel. And my, will there be tears.
In case you missed it, check out the first trailer here.

If I Stay opens in theaters August 22, 2014.
