We have seen very little in the way of spoilers for Baz Luhrmann’s ‘The Great Gatsby’. But finally we have set photos for the daring new adaptation of this classic piece of literature written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. These 8 photos give our first look into Luhrmann’s translation. What do you think?
Lurhmann is notorious for his unique filming style. I was very nervous to learn that he was adapting such a classic book. But as we have seen in the past, his bizarre use of the camera, costumes and editing can work. Romeo + Juliet for example has become a classic in its own right. While his last film, Australia, didn’t do as well in the box office, you would be hard pressed to find a director more devoted to interpreting old stories for audiences in new and exciting ways.

We haven’t seen or heard much from the production (other than that it will be presented in 3D, which seems like a pretty poor, money-driven decision). The film’s stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan look really great in their costume sas they stroll through Sydney, Australia’s Centennial Park.
