Tom Hardy is known for portraying really good and intense characters – except on ‘This Means War’, but I´ll let that one slip by – which is why I don’t doubt he will be exceptional in his upcoming film, Locke.
This thriller is directed and written by Englishman Steven Knight (‘Dirty Pretty Things’ and ‘Eastern Promises’) and tells the story to Ivan Locke (played by Hardy), a construction manager whose past decides to come back and haunt him…all this while he’s driving. Sounds really engaging, doesn’t it? Other thing that caught my attention, his Welsh accent!
The film, also starring Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson and Andrew Scott, has gathered some great reviews so far after making appearances at a few film festivals last year, and it currently holds a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Locke will hit theaters on April 25 in the US, and April 18 in the UK. In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
