The first teaser trailer for Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson‘s thriller The Rover has finally arrived. Directed by David Michôd (Animal Kingdom) and written by Michôd himself and actor Joel Edgerton, the film is set in a futuristic and socially collapsed Australia. We don’t get much info from the trailer, but the few glimpses we get from it tell us it will keep us intrigued from start to finish.
The full synopsis of the film is as follows:
The Australian desert in a dangerous and damaged near future. Eric (Guy Pearce) has left everything, everyone and every semblance of human kindness behind him. And then he has his last possession stolen by a gang of dangerous criminals. Eric sets off on a ruthless mission to track them down, forced along the way to enlist the help of Reynolds (Robert Pattinson), the naïve and injured junior member of the gang, who was left behind in the bloody chaos of the gang’s most recent robbery.
The film will be released this summer and it also stars Scoot McNairy and Nash Edgerton. Watch the trailer below and tell us, are you looking forward in watching it?
