The movie adaptation of Assassin’s Creed has been in development hell for a while now. Around this time last year it was rumored that Michael Lesslie would be doing the screenplay for the film and that Michael Fassbender would be starring in the lead role as Desmond Miles.
There have been plenty of rumors floating around recently; the latest word on the street is that Daniel Espinosa is set to direct the film. One of the only things Espinosa is known for is the recent 2012 movie, Safe House. The film is definitely happening according to Fassbender and is set to release in August of 2015. We’ll see if things stay on track and hopefully we’ll be seeing a trailer in the near future.
