Winter’s Tale, a new film from the screenwriter of A Beautiful Mind, tells us that “This Valentine’s Day, believe in miracles.” Okay, no problem. Only after watching this very pretty and emotionally engaging trailer, I’m not exactly sure what kind of miracles to believe in.
Starring Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay and Russell Crowe, WINTER’S TALE is a story of miracles, crossed destinies, and the age-old battle between good and evil, set in a mythic New York City and spanning more than a century. Watch the trailer below.
Right? I can’t help feeling wowed by this trailer, but at the same time, I’m not exactly sure of what I just watched. First, we see Colin Farrell falling in love with the late Lady Sybil from Downton Abbey, and next he’s seen in modern-looking world, hanging out with Jennifer Connelly. And don’t get me started on Russell Crowe. I have no idea how he plays into this movie, other than being the villain and a sorcerer of sorts?
Yet, despite my confusion, this is a very beautiful trailer with an interesting cast and possibly captivating story. I’ll hope for a miracle that Winter’s Tale ends up being a good one.
