Pretty cool, huh? Being a fan of Richelle Mead’s vampire series, I’m excited to see Vampire Academy hit the big screen. (I even made a top 10 list of movies to watch before you see VA:Blood Sisters.) Mead talked to Yahoo! about the film adaptation of her much loved YA series, “This is not a cutesy movie… You’re going to laugh at things you probably think you shouldn’t laugh at and you’re going to be gripping your seat for the action. It’s a big world and the moviemakers made it even bigger.”

Based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Richelle Mead, VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS will star Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry, Danila Kozlovsky, Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland, Joely Richardson, Cameron Monaghan, Sami Gayle, Claire Foy and Ashley Charles. Mark Waters is directing the project, which is currently in production and set to hit theaters on February 14, 2014.
